Davis Breaks Away From SciFi Writing....

Russell T Davies has started developing a new drama for Showtime.

Davies previously worked with the network on the US remake of his successful show Queer As Folk.

He is now creating a potential series called Cucumber, Deadline reports.

Details of the drama are not yet clear, although it is expected to follow the lives of a group of gay men.

Davies is thought to be developing the project with BBC Worldwide, which is producing the drama.

Davies is currently working on the new season of Torchwood, which will premiere in the US on Friday on Starz and in the UK on July 14 on BBC One.

He has also previously worked on Doctor Who and spinoff The Sarah Jane Adventures, as well as on a number of British dramas.

I am really hoping that they are not planning on Americanizing it as much as it sounds like they are planning too cause it will just ruin it!!! Even though I love RTD and understand that he is in the US know but please don't ruin it like how they did when Fox did Doctor Who that one time with the 8th doctor!! PLEASE!!! Torchwood is great the way it is don't alter it to where we can hardly recognize it!!!
