Appearance:

The 9th Doctor was more street wise when it came to his appearance. He wore a plain black leather jacket with a dark jumper, trouser and boots. His hair was brown with a close sort of crew cut look.

Personality:

The 9th Doctor is less of a central heroic figure then and enabler, encouraging his companions and others he meets to act upon their more positive impulses. He used his intelligence and information to inspire others.

The Doctor regenerates from causes unknown. However it may be because he attempted to save Davros in the Gate of Elysium- this took its toll on now insane Caan, so this may be an explanation.
Rose Tyler and the Doctor meet and she accepts joining him in his travelsSees the end of the World.
The Doctor meets the supposed last surviving Dalek.
Adam Mitchell becomes a companion but the Doctor soon evicts him for taking advantage of his privileged position.
The Doctor and Rose meet Captain Jack, who joins the TARDIS crew.
The Doctor, Rose and Jack attempt to take Blon Fel-Fotch Slitheen back to her homeworld to be punished for her crimes and accidentally allow her to cause the expansion of the Cardiff rift.
Re-meets the Daleks.
As Bad Wolf, Rose resurrects Jack and ends the Time War. Jack gets marooned.
The Doctor regenerates as a result of saving Rose's life.
