50th Anniversary Will Be Huge!!!

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has insisted that celebrations for the show's 50th anniversary will be "huge".

The writer told TV Line that 2013 will be "an amazing year" for fans of the sci-fi drama.

Moffat explained: "I've got various plans, but all I can say emphatically is it will be huge. There's lot of decisions we're making that are about making all that possible. It'll be amazing."

Moffat also confirmed that plans for the anniversary extend beyond a one-off special episode.

"It won't be just one thing, we'll be doing lots of stuff," he hinted. "The plans are quite extensive, and changing all the time. Oh my God, we will hit that year very, very hard indeed."

However, Moffat added that his ideas for 2013 are still at a very early stage of development.

"It's so far in the future, [so] it's only a set of notions," he said.

Doctor Who star Matt Smith recently revealed that he is keen to film an episode featuring multiple Doctors for the 50th anniversary.

Doctor Who will return to BBC America in the US on August 27 and will likely air on the same day on BBC One in the UK.

Torchwood May Not Have A Future??!!

Starz CEO Chris Albrecht has revealed that Torchwood may not be picked up for another season.

Albrecht told reporters at the TV Critics tour that the sci-fi drama's future is dependant on the schedule of series creator Russell T. Davies.

"Torchwood is not one of the shows we went into thinking about a yearly return," he explained. "It's about Russell T. Davies [because] he has a lot of things on his plate. If Torchwood is at the top of his list, that will effect the future of Torchwood."

Davies is currently developing a new drama series named Cucumber with Showtime, it was announced last month.

However, the showrunner previously told Digital Spy that he was having second thoughts about leaving Torchwood.

"I say [I'll quit] at the beginning of every year and then I get to the end [of the series] and I love it again," he explained. "So I don't know. It is time that I moved on and did something else, but we'll just see how well [Torchwood: Miracle Day] does."

The Doctor Can Never Be In Torchwood

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has said that The Doctor will never appear in Torchwood.

The Sherlock writer argued that the Time Lord - currently played by Matt Smith - would not be an appropriate addition to the more adult spinoff series, but teased that John Barrowman's Captain Jack Harkness could continue to appear in both programs.

"The Doctor could never go to Torchwood," Moffat told TVLine. "[Torchwood executive] Russell [T Davies] and I both agree on that. Doctor Who has a tremendous relationship with children in Britain. They'd want to watch Torchwood then, and it's not really a children's show."

Moffat further teased that he had planned for Captain Jack to cameo in Doctor Who's most recent episode, 'A Good Man Goes To War'.

"I'd have [brought back Captain Jack] for 'A Good Man Goes To War', but John was busy doing Miracle Day... When we've got a good story, we'll do it. You can't just bring somebody back and say, 'That's a story'.

"I won't be thinking, 'How do you bring Captain Jack back?' I'll be thinking, 'You know what this needs? We need to bring Jack back for it'."

Barrowman previously declared that he would return to Doctor Who "at the drop of a hat". He revealed at Comic-Con last week that he would love a role on Doctor Who's 50th anniversary in 2013.

Doctor Who star Karen Gillan has promised that the revelation surrounding River Song's true identity will be explored in future episodes.

The actress told Assignment X that River's unveiling as Amy Pond's daughter Melody will have some "weird" consequences.

"That's going to be really fun, considering their relationship now and the big revelation," she said. "We'll see parental instincts coming into play."

Gillan also discussed the return of Doctor Who in August, revealing new details about the mid-series premiere 'Let's Kill Hitler'.

"We have this really cool robot villain that goes back and fixes history," she explained. "So it goes back in time and fixes people that have done [something] wrong in history."

Doctor Who writer Tom MacRae recently revealed that his upcoming episode for the show will focus on Gillan's character Amy, describing 'The Girl Who Waited' as "a real tear-jerker".

No America Move For Doctor Who!! Thank You!!

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has suggested that the series is unlikely to relocate to America.

Spinoff show Torchwood is now co-produced by the BBC and US cable network Starz, but Moffat told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour that a similar move is unlikely for its parent series.

Moffat said: "It's entirely about story. I don't think in order to make Doctor Who successful in America you have to make stories set in America."

However, the writer admitted that he had enjoyed filming on location in Utah for recent two-part story 'The Impossible Astronaut / Day of the Moon'.

"I'd like to [film more in America, though] I don't think it's necessary," he said. "But absolutely, we like coming here."

Moffat also revealed that future episodes of Doctor Who will continue to explore the dark side of the show's lead character.

"The dark side of a man who could have caused the end of the universe is considerable," he teased.

Thank You Steven Moffet!! Stay over in Wales where Doctor Who belongs to continue being the best show!!! I'm sorry but I am not all that happy that Torchwood is over here, I think it is ruining it. You bring an iconic series like Doctor Who which is known for being a UK show and the scenery and everything else and you try to Americanize it it will turn to shit! (Does anyone remember that disaster Fox Doctor Who Movie with Paul McGann??) As much as I would love to see the cast over here for conventions and things like that, they need to stay in the UK so what makes Doctor Who can continue to do so and have it run for many more years!! I hate the majority of the shows over here besides a select few, I watch BBC America most of the time...lol Like right now I've been watching it while on here blogging watched Doctor Who with David Tennant in "The Girl In The Fireplace" now watching Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. Doctor Who star Matt Smith has said that he is keen to film an episode featuring multiple Doctors.

The actor told Newsarama that he would like to appear on-screen with his predecessors for the show's 50th anniversary in 2013.

"That's still over a year away but I'd love for it to happen," he confessed. "How amazing would it be to see Tom Baker [back as the Fourth Doctor]? Can you imagine just seeing him back in the scarf, man? That would be amazing."

Smith continued: "Paul McGann is a great actor, man, and a great Doctor. I say bring back Chris [Eccleston] and Dave [Tennant], too! How many Doctors can we get into one story? Imagine if there were five or six of us in one ep and we could all just look at each other and judge each other."

David Tennant confirmed last week that he would be happy to return to Doctor Who for a guest appearance. However, both Christopher Eccleston and Paul McGann have implied that they would not return to the show.

At this year's Comic-Con in San Diego, Doctor Who writer Toby Whithouse also expressed his desire for a multi-Doctor anniversary episode.

"You'd have to ask [showrunner] Steven [Moffat] that but yeah, why not?" he said. "Come on, let's bring them all back."

Doctor Who star Matt Smith has revealed that Patrick Troughton's second incarnation of The Doctor is his favorite.

Smith, who currently plays the Eleventh Doctor, explained that he loves the peculiarity that Troughton brought to the role.

"I love Patrick Troughton. [Troughton's 1967 serial] 'Tomb of the Cybermen' is one of my favorite stories. It's so creepy," he told Newsarama. "What I think is wonderful about Troughton is he's weird and peculiar but he never asks you to find him weird and peculiar. He was a great actor. And I think the Cybermen are as scary as they've ever been in that one story."

Troughton portrayed the renegade Time Lord from 1966 to 1969, facing Cybermen on a moon base and Yetis in the London underground along the way.

Christopher Eccleston has apparently said that he left Doctor Who because he feels his face "didn't fit".

According to The Sun, the actor made the claims during an acting masterclass in London on Wednesday.

The paper quotes Eccleston as saying: "I left because of politics. I did not see eye-to-eye with them. I didn't agree with the way things were being run.

"I didn't like the culture that had grown up around the series. So I left over a principle. I thought to remain, which would have made me a lot of money and given me huge visibility, the price I would have had to pay was to eat a lot of s**t."

However, Eccleston is also reported to have told the class that he was proud of playing the Doctor, adding: "The important thing is that I succeeded. It was a great part. I loved playing him.

"I've always acted for adults and then suddenly you're acting for children, who are far more tasteful - they will not be bulls**tted."

Eccleston appeared to rule out a return to Doctor Who earlier this year, telling BBC Radio 2's Graham Norton: "I never bathe in the same river twice."

He has previously hinted that he left the program because he did not feel comfortable with "the environment and culture that we, the cast and crew, had to work in".

John Barrowman has claimed that he'd "love" to see Torchwood adapted into a feature film.

The 44-year-old echoed comments made by his Torchwood: Miracle Day co-star Eve Myles in saying that an epic big-screen battle between Captain Jack and invading monsters would be the next logical step for the sci-fi franchise.

"I'm not going to talk about the future of Torchwood beyond where we are, but if I said I wouldn't love to have Captain Jack on the big screen, I'd be lying," PA quotes Barrowman as saying.

Barrowman recently commented that he is glad that Torchwood has taken on a more psychological approach to sci-fi than its "sister show" Doctor Who.

The Scottish-born star also claimed that half of Hollywood's well-known crop of actors are secretly hiding the fact that they are gay.

John Barrowman has claimed that he loved filming a screen kiss with James Marsters for a 2008 Torchwood episode.

Torchwood's series two opener 'Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang' featured ex-lovers Captain Jack Harkness (Barrowman) and Captain John Hart (Marsters) on a violent collision course, with their first meeting at a Cardiff bar culminating in a passionate kiss that erupted into a brawl.

"It was a great moment. I loved it," Barrowman told CNN. "Walking through the saloon doors, right up to each other, looking like we're just going to punch the crap out of each other, and then they kiss! Brilliant."

Marsters later reprised the role of Captain John for two episodes to close out Torchwood's second series, where his character made peace with Captain Jack. The actor has since claimed that he would love to return for a further guest appearance.

Eve Myles has disclosed that she relates to the family struggles that her Torchwood character Gwen Cooper endures this season.

The Welsh actress explained that she was adapting to motherhood and coming to grips with her parents' failing health while filming scenes of Gwen attempting to save her family in Miracle Day.

"Torchwood seems to be mirroring my life somehow this year. Gwen's got a young child, and I've got a 16-month-old baby girl, so I had to move my entire family over here to pursue this," Myles told TV Guide. "Then something happens with Gwen's family, and my mother had a heart attack while I've been away, and my father has cancer."

Myles continued: "Everything happening in the show's story seems to be happening in my life, so it's a bit peculiar. But there's a light at the end of the tunnel for everything, I believe. And Torchwood has just absolutely rocked this year."

Myles also teased that much of the drama in the first episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day centres on Gwen's attempt to justify her desire to eradicate hostile aliens against her responsibilities as a new mother.

"The last time you saw her, she was six months pregnant, and now she's got a 6-month old. She went into hiding with her family as soon as Jack disappeared [in Children of Earth] and when we resume, you find her living in the most remote part of the world, this tiny little cottage on the edge of a cliff, no roads in to or out of it," the star revealed.

"They are self-sufficient, growing all their own food. What we find out is that this idyllic chocolate box is completely kicked up to the hilt, armed with every weapon known to man including a rocket launcher, every kind of missile, knife, gun, anything. She's prepared for war. She's hysterical. Life is really only idyllic for Rhys."

Myles previously claimed that she'd "absolutely" be willing to star in a feature film version of Torchwood.

The actress told TV Guide that the pair share "an unspoken love" in new series Miracle Day.

Myles said: "It's... the sort of love that will never be explained. It's a respect, it's old roots, it's a partnership so special and wonderful and, most important, [it] completely works."

Doctor Who executive producer Beth Willis is to leave the series, it has been announced.

Willis will join Kudos Film and Television in September to produce and develop scripted programming. She previously worked for the company on the first two series of Ashes to Ashes in 2007 and 2009.

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat said in a statement: "Well we couldn't keep her forever, though God knows I tried. Beth Willis is off to be brave and brilliant in brand new ways, and the sad news for Doctor Who is that from now on it will be somewhere else."

He added: "This show owes more to her fearlessness and honesty than I have time to explain... and [we all] wish her the very best at Kudos."

Willis herself described her time on Doctor Who as "the most fantastic experience".

"However the opportunity to return to Kudos, a company whose creativity is so inspirational was a temptation I couldn't resist," she said. "The plans taking shape for the next series of Doctor Who and for the 50th Anniversary are beyond exciting, and with Steven Moffat at the helm, this incredibly special time for the show is in very safe hands."

"Beth leaves Doctor Who in rude health with the last series up on its average audience, keeping millions of fans gripped every week," added the BBC's controller of drama commissioning Ben Stephenson.

Willis's Doctor Who co-producer Piers Wenger also recently announced that he will be leaving the show to take up a new post as senior commissioning executive at Film4.

Bill Pullman has admitted that he "jumped at" the chance to appear in Torchwood: Miracle Day.

The actor told Xfinity that he was excited by the possibilities of his role as child killer and paedophile Oswald Danes.

Pullman said: "The quick description of him, a paedophile murderer, doesn't sound good, but that's not his essential condition. Yes, he begins there, [as] the most reviled person for doing the most heinous crime. But then... I become the pivot person who suddenly gets reborn."

Pullman added that Danes will discover a "whole new life" over Miracle Day's ten episodes.

"I set off on a journey to discover who I really am," he said. "So he's a very rich character."

Pullman also insisted that Miracle Day is a "continuation" rather than a reboot.

"Even in its three years, [Torchwood] was always changing and growing," he said. "And now it's morphed into our show, and just because we're going global there's no disconnect with the old show and characters. I think fans of the old show will get it right away."

Davis Breaks Away From SciFi Writing....

Russell T Davies has started developing a new drama for Showtime.

Davies previously worked with the network on the US remake of his successful show Queer As Folk.

He is now creating a potential series called Cucumber, Deadline reports.

Details of the drama are not yet clear, although it is expected to follow the lives of a group of gay men.

Davies is thought to be developing the project with BBC Worldwide, which is producing the drama.

Davies is currently working on the new season of Torchwood, which will premiere in the US on Friday on Starz and in the UK on July 14 on BBC One.

He has also previously worked on Doctor Who and spinoff The Sarah Jane Adventures, as well as on a number of British dramas.

No Return For The 8th Doctor

Paul McGann has hinted that he would not be as keen to join Doctor Who in 2011.

The 51-year-old actor, who played The Doctor in the 1996 TV movie, said that he would find the attention attached to the role these days "tricky", comparing himself to Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston.

Speaking about the adulation now afforded to fellow stage actor David Tennant following his lead role in Doctor Who, McGann told Official London Theatre: "He's fantastic of course and he's obviously got a great sense of humour about everything.

"Chris, I think, seemingly found it tricky. I think I probably would have been more like Chris. I like my privacy."

The star added that he was happy to "escape" the format, having not reprised his role when Russell T Davies brought the show back in 2005.

McGann was initially employed for a full Doctor Who series following the one-off film, but the idea was subsequently scrapped.

Eve Myles has revealed that she was thrilled to learn that Torchwood would be shooting in the United States.

The Torchwood: Miracle Day star confessed that she was stunned to learn that the sci-fi series would be moving to Starz and filming in the US, according to an interview with Collider.

Myles said of her initial reaction to the news: "I was a bit gaga. Literally, I was silent for about two hours. I was told, 'You have to keep it to yourself.' I was thinking, 'I've just had the biggest news of my life.'

"I had my little baby looking at me and I had my dog and my partner, and he was like, 'Well?!' And I said, 'I'm going to go do some washing up. I'm going to wash up some dishes, I'm going to take a shower and I'm going to have to have a think about things. It's just too much to actually vocalize.' So, I came down after about two hours and I literally hopped around with excitement for about 40 minutes."

Myles stated last week that she understands fan frustration at the show's UK airdate, claiming that no-one intended to take away the show from its original fans. Torchwood: Miracle Day first airs in the UK a full six days after its premiere in the US.

Torchwood: Miracle Day will premiere on Friday, July 8 at 10pm on Starz in the US and on Thursday, July 14 at 9pm on BBC One in the UK.

The actor told the Boston Herald that the sci-fi drama "picks up right where it left off".

Barrowman said: "We're still the same edgy Torchwood [and we] still have the edgy characters and storylines that people seem to like. It wasn't like a shock to the system [for us, and] our really core audience are not going to feel that [either]."

Barrowman, who plays Captain Jack Harkness, also claimed that he is not worried how new viewers will react to Torchwood.

"I don't worry about that," he said. "I know in my heart we've made a good show."

He added: "You know what, not everybody is going to like it, but I hope we get a bigger audience than what we've had before."

Torchwood star Eve Myles has claimed that she understands fan frustration at the show's UK airdate.

US viewers will be able to watch the first episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day on Starz on July 8, but UK viewers will have to wait an additional six days to see the same episode on BBC One.

Myles (Gwen Cooper) told The Hollywood Reporter: "We never, ever, ever wanted to take this show away from the original fans. What we always wanted to do with the show was give them a gift every year, something wonderful, a big, big present.

"It works out that it will be a week after the US showing, and obviously we have nothing to do with that, me nor John [Barrowman] or [showrunners Russell T. Davies and Julie Gardner]."

Myles also promised that Miracle Day will be "the best, best series yet" and encouraged fans to "hold on tight".

"I'd just like to remind them that they're our fans," she said. "We want them to sit back and enjoy it, be proud of it like we are, and to stick with us. If it was up to me and John, we'd have it to them straight away. But it's not."

Myles also argued that UK viewers have "waited long enough" for a new series of Torchwood.

"These people have waited just over two years for this next season," she explained. "I'd like to say that if I had something to do with it that this wouldn't be happening. But, sit tight, because it is a fantastic ride."

Doctor Who writer Tom MacRae has dropped hints about his new episode of the show.

MacRae told The Daily Telegraph that his new instalment, which will air tenth in the current run, is his "most accomplished piece of plotting ever".

"What's interesting is that the requirements of the script meant that for various reasons nothing has gone out about it at all," he explained. "We didn't do much location filming, and the way the guest characters work is unusual, so no-one knows anything about my episode."

The scribe, who previously wrote the 'Rise of the Cybermen / The Age of Steel' two-parter for the show's 2007 series, added that his new story contains "a really big surprise".

"I'm amazed we've kept it this secret," he admitted. "All I will say is that it's an unusual episode and it's really great."

MacRae also dismissed early rumours about his episode and denied that the adventure had borne the working title of 'The Green Anchor'.

"It has never been called that!" he objected. "There's speculation about it which is wrong."

Star Trek Meets Torchwood......

John de Lancie has revealed details about his character in Torchwood: Miracle Day.

The Star Trek actor will play a recurring role in the sci-fi drama, it was announced in April.

"I'm a recurring character in the final three episodes of the series," he told SFX. "My character is CIA, very gruff, [and] unimpressed by the 'Torchwood clowns' as he'd call them."

De Lancie, best known for his role as Q in the Star Trek franchise, added that the new season of Torchwood still has a "British" feel.

"My sense is the show is still quite British," he said. "It has, mostly, an American crew, but the sensibility of it, led by Russell [T Davies], is very British."

He also claimed that Miracle Day is "completely different... to Star Trek" and that his role involved "no technobabble".

"It's someone's future, potentially real," he explained. "I enjoyed that."

Torchwood: Miracle Day will air in July on BBC One in the UK and on Starz in the US.

TORCHWOOD’: A LOOK AT THE. NEW SEASON

I had nightmares the night after I watched the first two episodes of Torchwood: Miracle Day. I confess that not to prove what a hopeless wimp I am (although, that’s also included), but to make the point that while we all have reservations about this season, it really delivers.

The opening scene, which finds Bill Pullman’s death-row inmate character preparing for execution, is so wrenching, so uncomfortable, and so eerie, that you might very well lose your worries about this season in the first minutes.

When Arlene Tur, who plays Dr. Vera Juarez, first heard the plot, she said the issue turned out to be much more complicated than she initially thought. And the audience should be similarly excited by some of the curve balls that lie ahead.

“You have to deal with overpopulation. You don’t have enough staff, you don’t have enough tool or enough space… Every hospital becomes a disaster,” she said. “There are a lot of problems that come along with Miracle Day.”

Lack Of Doctor Who has Nothing To Do With Sherlock??!!

Steven Moffat has denied speculation that production on BBC One's Sherlock has led to the reduction of Doctor Who episodes for next year.

BBC One controller Danny Cohen recently confirmed at the Church and Media Conference that Doctor Who will not return for a full series in 2012.

The Matt Smith sci-fi series had previously been renewed for 14 new episodes, although they will now be spread across 2012 and 2013.

Cohen suggested that Moffat's work with Sherlock is one of the main reasons for the split up of Doctor Who episodes.

"[Steven] needs enough time to get [Sherlock] done and then start work on the next series of Doctor Who," Cohen claimed. "So there will be [Doctor Who] episodes, but not as many."

On Moffat's workload, Cohen added: "There's only so many hours a day he can be awake. The man has to sleep and eat, and he's got a family.

"Steven Moffat is the creative driving force behind Doctor Who. He also, rather magically at the same time, created and got to air Sherlock. So we have to get that balance right."

However, Moffat later took to his Twitter account to deny any programming conflicts, saying: "The scheduling of Dr Who has got NOTHING to do with Sherlock."

Moffat then joked: "On the plus side THE BBC SPELLED MY NAME RIGHT!!!!"

The pictures give us another look at new cast additions Mekhi Phifer (Rex Matheson), Alexa Havins (Esther Drummond) and Bill Pullman (Oswald Danes).

The new Torchwood gallery also includes a number of action shots from the ten-part series, which will see Captain Jack (John Barrowman) and Gwen (Eve Myles) team up with new allies to investigate a global conspiracy.

No Full 2012 Season???

Last week a nasty Doctor Who rumor was circulating — that even though Matt Smith has signed on to do another 14 Doctor Who episodes, there wouldn't be a full season next year. Sadly, these suspicions have been confirmed.

Danny Cohen, Controller of BBC One, was speaking at an event where we got the first confirmation that Doctor Who would NOT becoming back for a full season in 2012. A member of the audience, Wayne Clarke, confirmed via twitter that "Danny Cohen says there won't be a full series of Doctor Who in 2012, but a special run for the anniversary in 2013."

Which means that perhaps only a few episodes from the new season will air next year, and the rest will air in 2013. Cohen joked that the delay was due to Steven Moffat's other commitments on Sherlock Holmes, but the BBC later clarified that this wasn't the real reason (according to the BBC's Lizo Mzimba.)

But at the very least, let's hope this means the 50th anniversary will be an even bigger celebration of the show's long history, with tons of cameos and a huge storyline.

Question: You’ve been awfully quiet about Torchwood: Miracle Day after announcing that you received the first three episodes. What say you, oh wise one? —Claire

Ausiello: I say with a heavy heart that I liked it, but I didn’t love it. The show has always zigged and zagged between multiple personalities — and unapologetically so. It’s part soap opera, part sci-fi thriller, part cheesy B-movie, part a few other things, just for fun. And that schizophrenia has always been a part of its charm. But in the U.S.-set Miracle Day, the bouncing between tones seems more pronounced, making it hard to tell whether we’re supposed to be laughing with the show or at it. Perhaps even more upsetting (to me, anyway) is that the premise sounded so provocative — everyone on Earth stops dying. Yet the execution over the first few episodes was decidedly (gasp) boring. (Too much time is focused on the Americans learning what and who Torchwood is. And the less said about the dull, duller, dullest Bill Pullman subplot, the better.) But like I said, I didn’t hate it. In fact, with Jack and Gwen still their awesome selves, I did like it, at least. On top of that, the Jane Espenson-penned Episode 3 — featuring two TV-MA-rated sex scenes (one straight, one gay) — was a marked improvement over the first two, so, assuming the momentum continues, a “miracle” may yet occur.

Sick Of The Daleks??

Fans of Doctor Who have admitted that they are bored with the Daleks and backed showrunner Steven Moffat's decision to give them a rest during 2011.

Of the thousands who voted in an exclusive poll for Digital Spy, a massive 41.1% said that there should be at least a couple of years before the Daleks return. A further 33.7% supported the call to give the villains a year off to put their plungers up. Just 25.2% said that they weren't bored with the evil pepperpots one bit.

Some readers argued that back in the days of the late, great Roy Skelton - who voiced the Daleks from 1967 to 1988 - the exterminating aliens didn't seem to be as ever-present as they are now.

Ben Dawson said: "In the classic series there was no way the Daleks would pop up every series. Let's give them this series and next series off... maybe return for the 50th Anniversary, have a build up to it."

Adam Thomas agreed: "I'm bored of them now, but give it a couple of years and I'm sure I will be glad to see them again."

It wasn't all one-way traffic though. Paul Sutherland countered: "Hmmm... let's be honest. The people who voted yes are idiots. Need more Daleks." Mark Cameron said: "If Moffat is getting rid of them, he's just lost a viewer."

So, there definitely won't be any Daleks in the second half of series six. But with a seventh series confirmed, will Moffat be brave enough to give a trip to Skaro a miss when doing his Christmas shopping? We'll have to wait and see.

Captain Jack Possible Visit With 11th Doctor??

John Barrowman has confirmed that he would be happy to return to Doctor Who.

The actor first played Captain Jack Harkness on the BBC sci-fi drama in 2005 and reprised the role in spinoff series Torchwood.

Barrowman told Zap2it: "I've always said that if I'm asked to go back to Doctor Who, I'll go at the drop of a hat. That's where Captain Jack got his beginnings."

He added that Jack's possible return had "already been discussed" by Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat and Torchwood creator Russell T. Davies.

"It's in the cards, but who knows whether it will happen?" he said.

Barrowman also praised current Doctor Who star Matt Smith, but admitted that he still feels "attached" to his former co-star David Tennant.

"I like Matt Smith [and] he brings his own quirkiness to it," said the star. "When a new Doctor starts, everybody goes along for the journey because they love the show. But then you attach yourself to that Doctor."

Barrowman continued: "There's a whole new generation who are now attached to Matt, and rightly so.... but David Tennant is my Doctor."

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat previously insisted that he would "love to have [Jack] back" on the show.

It was recently announced that Doctor Who has been renewed for a seventh series by the BBC, with "a good chunk" of new episodes expected to air next year.

Meanwhile, Barrowman will reprise his role as Captain Jack in Torchwood: Miracle Day, which will air in July on BBC One in the UK and Starz in the US.

New Series Confirmed!!!

New episodes of Doctor Who will air in 2012, the BBC has confirmed.

The sci-fi drama has been renewed for a seventh series with star Matt Smith, but a recent piece in satirical magazine Private Eye suggested that the new episodes could be delayed until 2013.

A BBC spokesman has now told The Guardian that "a good chunk" of the 14 commissioned episodes will be broadcast next year.

"The new commission is a big commitment, not many other shows have such a commitment so far in advance. We do not know yet how many [episodes] will air in 2012," they added.

The Private Eye piece also claimed that the show's sixth series was split into two halves due to financial concerns, but the representative insisted that showrunner Steven Moffat had made the decision for "narrative" reasons.

Doctor Who's current series will continue with six new episodes later in 2011.

Well with Doctor Who now ended in the mid-season break and not returning until September the news in the Whoniverse is rather still. Hopefully we will hear some news of the highly anticipated upcoming episodes soon but until then there are a few things to watch out for in the mean time.

June 2011 - Well as far as I can tell there isn't much going on this month but I am sure we will be hearing a bit more on Torchwood Miracle Day.

July 2011 - On July 8, 2011 Torchwood: Miracle Day will air on Starz in the US and on BBC1 in the UK.

The fourth series of the British science fiction television series Torchwood, a spin-off from the long-running show Doctor Who of the BBC's drama production house BBC Cymru Wales, its international arm BBC Worldwide and US premium network Starz, will be broadcast over ten episodes starting July 8, 2011. In Canada, the show will be broadcast on Space. Most of the filming took place in Los Angeles, California with only two weeks being shot in Wales.

Early development rumours suggested that the fourth series would be a reboot of the show, and that it would air on the Fox net work in the United States. However, the deal with Fox did not go through and a new co-production deal with Starz was officially announced. (which for us here int the US means that we have to pay extra for the channel in order to watch the series, which I am not all that happy about!!). Creator and executive producer Russell T Davies clarified the focus of the series, stating "it's very much the next step. It's not a new version, it's not a reboot. We're simply moving countries." The second executive producer, Julie Gardner, described the new series as being "absolutely rebooted to welcome in a new audience". Can we say Conflicting statements??!! Series writer Jane Espenson clarified further, describing the series as strictly "a continuation of the UK show".

Writers for the series were confirmed as Russell T Davies, John Shiban, Doris Egan, Jane Espenson and John Fay. Espenson will write four episodes. Kelly Manners will be producing in the US, and Brian Minchin will do this job in the UK. The central plot is that suddenly, no one on Earth dies, and this provokes increasingly mixed reactions as the population soars. "What is society going to do now?", Davies poses.

August 2011 - On August 19, 2011 the remake of the 1985 cult hit Fright Night comes to screens. The roles will be reprised by Colin Firth as the sinister yet seductive Vampire, Jerry Dandridge; Anton Yelchin as the boy next door, Charlie Brewster; and our favorite loveable sexy 10th Doctor, David Tennant will be playing Peter Vincent.

September 2011 - Although I do not know exactly what date, Doctor Who will be returning sometime in September 2011. After the way A Good Man Goes To War ended, I think it is safe to say that people are counting the days until we can all see what will happen next! Steven Moffet has defiantly rattled peoples brains with this series from the very beginning starting with witnessing the apparent death of The Doctor. Throughout the series there have been some major jaw dropping moments including the little girl starting to regenerate in an alley, Amy's pregnancy, The Tardis as a human and being called his wife, two doctor's one Gallifreyan the other a ganger, Amy that has been with Rory and the Doctor was indeed just flesh, the baby being part timelord, Amy reveling to the Doctor that he will die, The Doctor taking off in the Tardis leaving everyone behind, and the revelation of who River Song really is.

I am extremely curious to see exactly where Moffet is heading with all of this??!! In some episodes, I think he is trying a bit to hard to keep everyone off track it seems to go way off the winding road that it doesn't always make sense. We still need to find out who River actually kills, now so far my suspicions have not been to far off, but I am to think that it is The Doctor who she kills. However, how can that be possible? Could this mean the end of Doctor Who? And if River is part timelord, how was it that she was killed in season 4 with David Tenannt as The Doctor in Forest Of The Dead? So many questions and still so little answered. Well hopefully Steven Moffet with shed some light on these questions when the series returns in the fall.

Torchwood creator Russell T. Davies has revealed that Captain Jack (John Barrowman) will be rendered mortal in new ten-part season Miracle Day.

The character has been unable to die since being killed and resurrected in a 2005 episode of parent series Doctor Who.

However, Davies told AOL TV: "The greatest thing you can do is offer a new look into the character. It's not fundamentally altering the character, it's fundamentally altering the rules [while] the character stays the same."

He hinted that Captain Jack's new condition will be linked to the premise of Miracle Day, which sees the entire populace of Earth unable to die.

"Everyone else is immortal, [and] he's mortal," explained the writer. "It's the biggest switch in the show, which we did in order to give us new insights into Jack."

Davies added that he "couldn't possibly say" if Jack will be killed off in a future episode.

"The stakes are that high," he admitted. "And it's very hard to prove he's mortal without killing him, so that's going to be interesting."

Amy picks up her newborn daughter, Melody, as a group of guards – including Lorna Bucket – watch on. She tells them about her father who is coming for them, and has lived for hundreds of years though he looks young: the Last Centurion.

On the ship of the Twelfth Cyber Legion, a group of Cybermen detect an intruder who is steadily working his way up the levels. The intruder is revealed as Rory, who says that he has a message from the Doctor and a question. He demands to know where his wife is as the rest of the ships around them explode.

On Demon's Run, the Fat Man and the Thin Man discuss the Doctor and pass Lorna Bucket, who is spending her break sewing. Another pair of marines watch on monitors and train to recognise psychic paper, mentioning that they've been on yellow alert for three weeks. Lorna, the Thin Man and the Fat Man discuss the Headless Monks; they believe that doubt lies in the head and faith lies in the heart. The Fat Man leaves with the monks for "conversion counselling". The Thin Man deduces that Lorna has met the Doctor; she confirms that she saw him as a kid in the Gamma Forests.

The Fat Man enters a room where the Monks are gathered. A voice tells him that he was selected to be converted to "their faith" and told to make a donation.

In Victorian London, a hooded figure arrives home. She is greeted by a maid and tells her that she has killed and eaten Jack the Ripper. She reveals herself as a Silurian named Madame Vestra. The maid (named Jenny) leads her to the drawing room; the TARDIS is sitting there.

In the middle of the Battle of Zaruthstra, 4037, a man searches for a nurse for a boy who is clearly unwell. A Sontaran nurse enters. A few minutes later, the boy is awake, and the nurse reveals himself as Commander Strax. He says that being a nurse is his penance. The TARDIS is heard, and Strax says that his penance is about to finish.

In Stormcage, River Song returns from a birthday outing with the Doctor, accidentally setting off an alarm. Rory appears and River seems stunned at the sight of him. Rory asks that she come with him, but she says that she can't come until the 'very end', as it's the day he when the Doctor will rise so high, and then fall further than ever before. It is also the day he finds out who she is.

Dorium appears to be leaving a bar of some kind before he is interrupted by the Eye Patch Lady, who he names as Madame Kovarian. He says that the reason the Doctor hasn't come yet is because he's raising an army of people who owe him a debt. Dorium also mentions that the Headless Monks are customers of his, and he therefore knows the location of their base. After Madame Kovarian leaves, the TARDIS arrives for him.

At Demon's Run, one of the Colonels gives a speech about the Doctor, saying that he is only a man and he can be defeated. Amy watches from above, but is interrupted by Lorna, who says that she should be at the speech. Lorna offers her a prayer leaf with Melody's name on it in the language of her people; if a parent keeps such an item with them, their child will always come back. Amy ignores the offer of kindness, but turns when she realises that Lorna met the Doctor. She accepts the prayer leaf, and warns Lorna to be 'on the right side' for her sake.

Lorna hurries to the speech, where the Colonel removes the hoods of the monks, to reveal a knot of skin where the bases of their necks should be. The third monk removes his own hood; it is the Doctor in disguise. The Monks raise their swords and all the marines except Lorna raise their guns. At the same time, Madame Vestra and Jenny hold the men in the control room at sword point. In the main room, the Doctor puts up his hood as the lights go out. The lights come back on and the Doctor is nowhere to be seen. The Doctor tells them that he is disguised as one of the Monks. A man shoots one who turns out to be a real Monk and is killed. The Monks begin to kill the marines in retaliation until the Colonel tells everyone to stand down. Lorna sees a Monk with a sonic screwdriver and follows him out of the room as the rest of the marines disarm themselves. Silurians suddenly appear with their guns pointed at the marines, as do the Judoon. Commander Strax holds the Colonel at gunpoint, claiming the base as their own.

The Doctor has a group of modified Spitfires (last seen in Victory of the Daleks) attack the base, and Kovarian orders that the child be brought to her. Melody is brought in a portable cot, and Kovarian says that the Doctor must think he is winning until the trap closes. Unknown to her, Lorna is listening, and she runs off. Rory suddenly appears and holds Kovarian at sword point; Henry and Toby Avery exit Kovarian's private ship with a crewmember tied up. She enters the control room where the Doctor is sitting and tells the Colonel to tell the marines to run away.

Amy hears Rory at the door with the sonic screwdriver and tells him that they took Melody; he enters with the baby in his arms. The Doctor walks in and calls the baby "Melody Pond", much to Rory's annoyance. He also comments that he speaks baby. Madame Vestra enters and says that the marines are leaving, and that the Doctor has never risen so high. Rory remembers River's words and looks concerned.

Amy leaves the TARDIS with a crying Melody, saying that the baby doesn't like the noise inside. The others all suggest what she'd crying about until the Doctor emerges with a cot before hurrying back to the control room, saying that the cot is his.

Dorium is going through the computers and discovers scans of Melody, which reveal that her DNA contains traces of Time Lord. Vestra asks when Melody was conceived, as she knows that the Time Lords became what they did through exposure to the time vortex. The Doctor realises that the first time they were together on the TARDIS was their wedding night, and that they might want her for a weapon having seen the Doctor. Vestra and Dorium leave as the Doctor remembers the little girl from America. Kovarian appears on a screen and says that the girl is hope in the war against the Doctor.

Lorna is brought to Rory and Amy at gunpoint, as she had been listening. She insists that they're in a trap, and that she only joined the clerics to meet the Doctor as he is "a great warrior". The lights go out, but Strax says that there are no life forms in the base excluding them, but Lorna says that the Headless Monks do not register as life forms.

Elsewhere in the base, Monks begin to attack the Silurians. Vestra joins the others; the TARDIS is suddenly surrounded by a force field and the doors are locked. Dorium identifies the Monks chant as the attack prayer. Amy goes to hide with Melody. Dorium goes into the darkness to try to reason with the Monks, but is beheaded; his body joins the Monks who are advancing on the group.

On the screen, Kovarian says that fooling the Doctor once was a joy, but fooling him again the same way is a privilege. He realises what Kovarian has done and runs off to find Amy. Melody, looking over Amy's shoulder sees a hatch appear in the air, through which Kovarian is watching them. Kovarian murmurs "wakey wakey", and Melody collapses into flesh, while Amy screams for Rory. The Doctor runs onto the scene where the battle took place moments before yelling that Melody is flesh; he is greeted by Rory who tells him that they already know. Rory then goes to help a wounded Strax, who says that he always dreamed of dying in battle before dying.

The Doctor tries to comfort Amy, but she only backs away. Instead, he goes to talk to Lorna. When she mentions that she met him, he remembers her before she dies. River appears in a flash of light. The Doctor angrily confronts her, saying that he was there for her but she didn't come when he needed her the most. She tells him that she couldn't have prevented what happened, but he didn't try. She says that Amy will be alright, and that the battle is exactly what the Doctor is. She says that, though the word "doctor" often means "healer" or "wise man", in the Gamma Forests it means "warrior". The Doctor finally asks her who she is; she only runs towards the cot before he grabs her. She asks him "Can't you read?" He has a realization that causes him to become increasingly jubilant, and River Song confirms his thoughts. He hurries to the TARDIS with a new found confidence as he tells Amy and Rory not to worry because he is certain now that he can save their daughter.

Amy holds River at gunpoint demanding to know what she just said. River tells her that she needs to focus on the written word as the TARDIS has more difficulty translating it; Amy tries and fails to read the writing on the cot, but River says that the Gallifreyan cannot be translated. River hands Amy the prayer leaf and tells her to read it. Amy says that she knows her daughter's name, but River tells her that they don't have a word for "Pond" in the Gamma Forests where Lorna was from, because "the only water in the forest is the river." As Amy and Rory read the leaf, the writing changes to read the words "River Song". River Song tells them that she is Melody, their daughter. The episode ends as Amy and Rory look shocked, and a "To Be Continued" appears on the screen...

PLOT:

The Ganger Doctor finalizes his shape and eventually, after the Flesh finds difficulty coping with past regenerations, stabilizes. While Amy is initially horrified, the Doctor quickly takes a liking to himself - Ganger Doctor doing the same. Both cannot believe how brilliant it is to be able to talk to each other - furthermore, unlike the other Gangers, Ganger Doctor appears to be more friendly towards the others. With two Doctors, the group finds an escape route out of the chapel - which supposedly had only one entrance - through a maintenance duct in the wall.

The group makes its way to the control room, where it is established that the "real" Doctor, having changed shoes since coming into contact with the acid, can be distinguished from the Ganger Doctor. However both Doctors maintain that they are as good as equal, which both Amy and Cleaves find difficult to believe despite the two Doctors continually completing each other's sentences. Cleaves eventually makes the decision to evacuate, leaving the gangers behind, and then burn the factory down.

Rory, meanwhile, has tracked Jennifer down after her flight, but he finds that there is also another Jennifer. At first he cannot distinguish between them but eventually realises that one is limping. The intact Jennifer attacks the injured one, which ends in the "real" Jennifer throwing the ganger into a puddle of acid. The two make their way to give the oxygen a stir to remove some of the gas coming off the boiling acid, which is causing the inhabitants of the factory to choke.

Ganger Cleaves and the other gangers contemplate what to do. The real Cleaves transmits to the mainland, asking for evacuation. Ganger Cleaves intercepts the transmission, but the real Cleaves types a codeword, which Ganger Cleaves cannot see. This will be used in further transmissions.

The Doctors realise that before they head to the evacuation tower, Rory and Jennifer should be tracked down. The real Doctor finds out that he can track them with the sonic screwdriver, since Gangers and humans cause a slightly different response from the tool. Meanwhile, Ganger Doctor follows Amy outside. She maintains that he isn't the Doctor. The ganger reacts, shoving Amy against a wall and stating that all the Flesh can say upon deactivation, or rather execution, is "Why?" Eventually, he calms down, but is sent to track down Rory and Jennifer with Buzzer. He finds Jennifer, who is lying in the courtyard, but she dies just as he arrives. Buzzer incapacitates Ganger Doctor on Cleaves' orders.

Rory and Jennifer make it to the thermostatic control room. Jennifer uses Rory to shut off the thermostatic regulators. Upon heading back to the rest of the group, though, Jennifer points out a pile of discarded gangers - Rory decides that this is wrong, since they still feel pain, and decides to help Jennifer stop this from happening. After he leaves, Buzzer soon finds Jennifer comforting the dying Flesh. When Buzzer angrily tells Jennifer that the real Jennifer is dead, Ganger Jennifer tells him that she is stronger than the Real Jennifer, and that she can grow. She promptly stretches her jaws wide and advances on Buzzer, who screams as she kills him.

In the control room Cleaves realises that the coolant systems are offline. This will eventually cause the facility to explode. Not knowing how much time is left, Cleaves prepares to give the evac transport a safer landing site than the evacuation tower, but the radio dies before she can give the codeword. the group heads to the acid storage room to try and prevent any cataclysmic reactions. There, the Doctor finds that a chemical reaction is now occurring, one that he cannot stop. Jennifer locks the group in, and Rory says he has seen what happens to old gangers, and wants to stop it. However, Amy and the Doctor point out that Jennifer is dead - he has been tricked into following a second ganger. She takes Rory back to the chapel, where the remaining Gangers - plus the recovered Ganger Doctor - stay.

Ganger Cleaves completes the real Cleaves' request, giving the codeword as "Badboy". The request goes through and the evac transport is told to land at the courtyard instead. Ganger Doctor turns on Rory, believing that he is one of "them" now. He consistently pushes Rory away, while saying "Ring ring!". The phone then goes off - it is Jimmy's son. Ganger Doctor answers, and invites Ganger Jimmy to answer. Instead, he bolts, proving to Ganger Jennifer - who has been trying to enlist the other gangers into a revenge mission - that gangers and humans can, in fact, get along. Jennifer flees, believing that Ganger Doctor had instead made Ganger Jimmy weak.

Ganger Jimmy unlocks the acid containment room, just in time to see the real Jimmy get hit in the chest by spitting acid. Jimmy asks the ganger to answer his son's call. The Doctor and the remainder of the group head to the chapel, where Ganger Jimmy answers his son's call - knowing his full history.

Rory says that he found an escape route under the crypt, a route not in the schematics. The two Doctors realise that that passage could lead to just under where the TARDIS had been sinking. They head towards the passage, where they are intercepted by Ganger Jennifer, who has now become a scorpion-like creature by using the Flesh's ability to duplicate. Ganger Cleaves and the Doctor hold the door, separating Jennifer and the group, plus the TARDIS, which fell through the ceiling, shut. Realizing it won't lock, Dicken runs into the hallway to close the door at the end of it. Locking it from the other side, he's quickly killed by Jennifer, to the horror of Ganger Dicken.

Amy, having become increasingly hostile towards Ganger Doctor, tells the Doctor to come into the TARDIS, and Ganger Doctor realises that Amy thinks he should stay. The Doctor says that he is staying to hold the door shut. Ganger Doctor explains that he, in fact, is the real Doctor and the Doctor holding the door shut is the ganger. Amy at first does not believe the Doctors, but Ganger Doctor says they swapped shoes. Amy had been hostile towards the Doctor all along, and has been defending Ganger Doctor. She and Cleaves realise that the Doctor's point had been proven - the two races can get along after all. The Doctor gives his ganger the sonic screwdriver, and takes Amy, Rory, Ganger Jimmy, Cleaves and Ganger Dicken into the TARDIS and it dematerializes. Ganger Doctor opens the door, saying that the sonic could destabilize the Flesh. He uses it against Ganger Jennifer, causing her, himself and Cleaves to collapse back into raw Flesh.

Exposure to the TARDIS permanently stabilizes the Flesh, and Ganger Jimmy is dropped off to see his son on the mainland. The Doctor leaves Cleaves and Ganger Dicken at a press conference about the incident. Amy seems worried about what will happen, and the Doctor tells her to "breathe". She suddenly doubles over - the Doctor says she is contracting, and about to give birth. Back in the TARDIS, he tells Rory to step away from Amy. Rory refuses - the Doctor's anger begins to flare up, and he comes closer to shouting. He explained that he needed to be close to the Flesh to properly stop the Flesh's signal to Amy. Rory at last backs away from Amy, and the Doctor tells Amy to hold on and they will find her. A confused Amy protests that she's right here. The Doctor grimly replies that she's not and she hasn't been for a long time. The Doctor points his retrieved sonic screwdriver at "Amy" and activates it - she collapses into raw Flesh.

Amy wakes up in a hospital gown, on a metallic table. A panel in the wall slides away, and a woman with an eye patch, whom Ganger Amy had been seeing occasionally during her recent travels with The Doctor, says that she is ready. Amy looks down - she is very heavily pregnant. As the contractions continue, the mysterious woman tells Amy to push, Amy screams in pain.

PLOT:

On an island in the 22nd century, Jennifer, Buzzer and Jimmy are walking around an abandoned monastery. They enter a room and open a large vat, making sure their acid suits are fully closed, to reveal a large amount of acid. Jennifer accidentally pushes Buzzer into the vat, but they seem more concerned with the loss of the suit than Buzzer. As Jennifer and Jimmy leave, Buzzer enters with no suit, though he is still seen in the vat of acid.

In the TARDIS, the Doctor is scanning Amy for pregnancy, and is still getting strange readings. The TARDIS gets hit by a solar tsunami, and ends up on the island. The Doctor notices a supply pipe, and deduces that it's there to pump acid off the island to the mainland. They enter the monastery, setting off the alarm. They enter a room full of harnesses in which people are sleeping. They are quickly surrounded by exact doubles of the people in harnesses (including Jennifer, Buzzer and Jimmy). They pretend to be from the meteorological department, and warn them that a bigger solar wave than the one they just survived is on the way. The Doctor asks to see their "critical system".

Miranda Cleaves (apparently the leader) leads them to a vat of 'flesh'; fully programmable matter which they can manipulate to replicate any living organisms. They reveal that all the workers in the room (apart from Jennifer) are flesh, being controlled by the real people in the harnesses, as the site is too dangerous; they were losing a worker every week. With flesh 'gangers', they can mind the site without putting anyone in danger. The Doctor seems concerned with their low opinion of the flesh, stating that it is a 'living thing'. Jennifer leaves to create her ganger. The Doctor scans the flesh, but instead feels it scanning him. As Jennifer steps into the harness, the Doctor, Amy and Rory watch flesh pour into a tub. The liquid flesh drains, leaving an exact copy of Jennifer.

The Doctor reminds them of the solar wave, but Cleaves refuses to let the team leave the island. The Doctor notes that the factory runs on solar energy, meaning there will be a huge power surge when the wave hits. Jennifer directs them to the monitoring station. The Doctor sees that the solar energy is absorbed via the weather vane, and heads up to the roof. Acid pipes begin to leak everywhere, including near the TARDIS, which begins dissolving the ground around it. As the power surge occurs, the gangers switch between their full human forms and their semi-flesh forms.

The Doctor is knocked back from the weather vane, and wakes up on the roof to see the vane gone and the stump smoking. Rory and Amy, also having be knocked unconscious, wake up. The Doctor greets the real Cleaves, who is deeply shaken and worried for her team. He reveals that they've been unconscious for an hour, rather than a few minutes as Cleaves believed. Amy and Rory return to the harness room to find everyone awake. Jennifer is apparently in a state of shock, and Rory comforts her as Amy watches. The Doctor and Cleaves join them, and Cleaves says that the gangers should have returned to pure flesh, but is interrupted by someone playing Jimmy's record- the gangers are controlling themselves.

The group run to the main room, where they discover that everything has been searched. The Doctor explains that the gangers were searching for confirmation of their identities. The workers have trouble accepting the fact that they gave their identities away, and that all their possessions are equally the possessions of their gangers. Jennifer begins to feel ill and heads to the toilets, quickly followed by Rory.

In the toilets, Jennifer vomits up flesh. Suddenly terrified upon realising she is a ganger, she disappears into one of the cubicles. When Rory steps in front of the mirror, her arm extends and she punches through the door, aiming for and missing him. Her neck then extends through the hole in the cubicle door, and she tells Rory to "just let [the gangers] live!" Rory runs out of the room.

In the main room, the Doctor heats up some food as Jimmy talks about arming themselves. The Doctor says that, as Jimmy isn't a violent man, there is no reason why his ganger should be. The Doctor hands Cleaves a hot plate, but she doesn't feel it. He explains that her nerve endings aren't what they should be, though he reassures her that she'll stabilise. Cleaves turns away, and turns back with a flesh face, revealing herself as a ganger. She proclaims that "[the gangers] are living!" and runs out. Amy remembers Rory and goes to search for him with Jimmy and the Doctor. They arrive at the toilets and realise that Jennifer is a ganger. The Doctor says that, though they aren't violent, they are scared, and that he needs to talk to them if he's going to fix it. He runs off to get the TARDIS, and Amy goes to look for Rory.

Rory finds Jennifer's ganger, who tells him how when she was a little girl, she got lost. She expresses that she is Jennifer Lucas, and does not feel like a mere factory part. She takes offence when Rory asks her where the real Jennifer is, and she takes on full human form.

The Doctor returns to the vat of flesh and scans it again before leaving. The tub fills with flesh again, and drains enough to reveal a mouth that says "Trust me." The Doctor returns to where he left the TARDIS to find only the top inches remaining above ground, and he also realises that he's burnt his shoes. Meanwhile, all the gangers except for Jennifer have gathered with the remaining acid suits.

While searching for Rory, Amy sees the Eye Patch Lady again. Rory and Ganger Jennifer find Amy, as do Buzzer and Dicken. Rory says that the ganger needs protection, and says that "no one touches her". Amy is visibly concerned at her husband's sudden affection for another woman. The group return to the main room with Jimmy, and the Doctor soon arrives with the rest of the gangers in full human form. He explains that the gangers are now truly alive, and that can't be changed. The Ganger Jimmy confirms this as he explains what happened the day his son was born. The real Cleaves enters, refuses to work with the gangers, and kills the Ganger Buzzer. The Gangers conclude that the humans can't be trusted and run out. Cleaves tells the humans that it's war, as does the Ganger Jennifer with the gangers.

The humans go to take refuge in the chapel. Rory refuses to enter the chapel, and goes to search for Jennifer instead. The Doctor hears a voice and tells whoever is in the room to show themselves. A Ganger Doctor steps out of the shadows, saying "Trust me. I'm the Doctor."

PLOT:

In another universe, a woman named Idris is scared of something that's about to happen, but is told that everything will be all right as she is serving a greater pupose by being drained of her mind and soul in preparation for the arrival of a Time Lord. A green-eyed Ood does this.

Meanwhile, in the main universe, 2011, the TARDIS is in flight and there's a knock on the door; when opened, a cube of light is seen that, when beckoned, hits the Doctor in the chest, whizzes about and then actually comes to him. The Doctor sees something on the box and announces he's "got mail!".

The object is revealed to be a hypercube, a form of communication for Time Lords. This one has come from one of the Doctor's old aquaintances, the Corsair. The message originates from "outside the Universe", but they follow the signal, deleting some of the useless rooms for fuel. As soon as they land, the TARDIS loses power - the Doctor seems perplexed at the concept in general; it's actually due to a different cause than before. The matrix, the soul of the TARDIS, has vanished. The planetoid they've landed on seems to be a junkyard.

The travellers are spotted by Idris, who starts kissing (later biting) the Doctor, calling him 'her thief', and speaking madly. Among one of the things she says is "the little boxes will make you mad." She is closely followed by Auntie, Uncle and Nephew, the green-eyed Ood. They appologize for Idris, saying she is insane, and Nephew takes her to get some rest. Idris asks if there's an 'off switch' and instantly falls asleep before being carried away by Nephew.

They are led deep into a carven to meet House, and learn the planetoid is accreted matter around an asteroid. The Doctor wants to find and help any living Time Lords; he also tells House that he is the Last of the Time Lords and that his TARDIS is the last one. He sends Rory and Amy back to the TARDIS on a fool's errand to find his sonic screwdriver in his spare coat and locks them in with the sonic screwdriver he already had with him before heading towards the distress signals.

He discovers a cupboard full of hypercubes that keep repeating emergency messages from a number of Time Lords. The Doctor, now distraught, notices that Auntie and Uncle are behind him. He tells them that losing hope is enough to drive anyone mad, but it could be worse with him. He then discovers House has been "repairing" them: they've been jigsawed together from bits and pieces of other unfortunate Time Lords that found their way to the planet. The Doctor comments that they remind him of his Sixth incarnation's umbrella, and tells them both to run.

Back in the TARDIS, Amy and Rory have realised that a green glow is suffusing the TARDIS. As the Cloister Bell rings, the Doctor runs to the TARDIS, trying to stop its departure, but fails as it starts to dematerialize and hurtle off in the direction of the bigger, energy-rich universe, breaking connection with the Doctor. House announces he now has control of the TARDIS and threatens to kill the inhabitants if they don't give a reason not to. Rory claims that House needs entertainment, and killing them quickly wouldn't be fun, buying them time. They head for the TARDIS' corridors. House separates Amy and Rory. Amy is sent into a number of mind-games involving a fake Rory aging, trying to attack Amy and eventually dying, before the real Rory finds her.

The Doctor finds Idris, who tells him that she houses the TARDIS' soul. They talk (and flirt) until their non-linear flow of conversation begins to make sense and the Doctor lets her out of her cage. They once again meet Auntie and Uncle, who drop dead, unable to live without House to repair them and the Doctor realises Idris has little time to live. They agree to rebuild a TARDIS console from all the junk, while they bond. Idris infuses the mechanical bits with a part of her inherent energy (matrix/soul) to allow them to follow House. Meanwhile, Idris reveals that she allowed the Doctor to steal her from the Time Lords all those years ago. She wanted to escape from Gallifrey and see the universe, so she "stole" the only Time Lord mad enough to travel with her.

In the meantime, House has raised the shields of the TARDIS to prevent anyone from entering. They need to be lowered so the Doctor and Idris can enter. The Doctor has Idris send a telepathic message to 'the pretty one' with details on how to get to a backup control-room; Idris sends the message to Rory instead of Amy. They arrive outside a door which opens upon Amy mentally visualising four words Idris sent Rory. They enter the old control room used by the Ninth and Tenth Doctors, lowering the shields as they are followed by Nephew (revealed to be House's most obedient servant). The junk TARDIS lands on Nephew, blasting him into atoms. The Doctor quickly introduces Amy and Rory to Idris and engages in conversation with House, offering help to him as he is having trouble landing in the main universe. The Doctor suggests that House delete 30% of the rooms for power. House agrees - and deletes the previous control room the group are in.

The group are suddenly standing in the main control room, as all living things in deleted rooms are transported there. House doesn't care, though, since the TARDIS has now reached the normal universe. The Doctor pretends to congratulate House for defeating them, while Idris, about to die, whispers something into Rory's ear. The Doctor reveals that House's plan was to trap the matrix in a mortal body, then allow it to die and be released a long way from the TARDIS. Instead, the matrix has been released inside the control room and merges back with the TARDIS. It proceeds to purge House from the TARDIS. The matrix has one last conversation with the Doctor from Idris' body, saying the word she never got to say to him: "Hello."

The Doctor starts putting a firewall around the matrix as he works under the console platform. Rory says that before she died, Idris told him 'the only water in the forest is the River', and that they'll need to know that some day. Thinking Amy and Rory need some time to rest, the Doctor suggests that he take them to the Eye of Orion for the peaceful atmosphere and quickly remakes Amy and Rory's room (without bunk beds per their request), sending them off to bed. Though Rory stalls to ask the Doctor if he has a bedroom of his own, Amy quickly grabs his arm and takes him into the corridor. The Doctor tries to talk to the matrix again, wondering if it agrees with going to the Eye of Orion and is rewarded when the speed lever pulls itself, making him laugh happily.

PLOT:

On a becalmed ship, a man with a minor cut is brought to the captain, Henry Avery. Avery says that he is a dead man after a black spot is found on the man's palm. An eerie song is heard outside. The wounded man leaves with sword in hand, and is heard screaming. When the crew leaves the cabin, Avery remarks that his disappearance is the same as 'all the others' with no sign of what happened. A banging is heard below the deck; a wooden grille is flipped open to reveal the Doctor, Amy and Rory, with the TARDIS behind them.

In Avery's rooms, the Doctor says the TARDIS picked up the ship's distress signals, though the crew never made any signals. When the Doctor says the trio are sailors, he is held at gunpoint, as they are believed to be stowaways, and later made to walk the plank. The Doctor notices that the ship is too big for a crew of five, before Amy is shoved below the deck to be put to work, but emerges in pirate attire, sword and all. She quickly engages in sword fights with some of the crew, cutting a man's hand in the progress, and when she drops the sword it cuts Rory as well. She is surprised by the over-reactions of the crew, and by the black spots which quickly appear on both of the men's hands.

The strange song is heard again; Rory and the wounded pirate begin to act like fools. A ghostly blue woman (who the crew refer to as a demon) rises from the sea and lands on the deck, stretching out her hand to the men. The wounded pirate takes it and instantly disappears with a scream. When Rory begins to walk towards her, Amy steps between the demon and him. The demon turns red and hisses at Amy, sending her flying across the deck. As the crew head below deck with the Doctor, Amy and Rory, the crew refer to the demon as the Siren; she has been taking any members of the crew with the smallest wound, as if she can smell blood. A man suddenly realises there is a leech on his leg; as everyone scrambles out of the water, a black spot appears on his hand. The Siren appears in the room and takes the bleeding man. The Doctor concludes that she is using water as a portal, and so the group head to the driest room on board- the armoury. They discover Avery's son Toby (whom he abandoned) hiding, and clearly ill. He explains that his mother died the previous winter and he wanted to meet his father, an honorable Captain in the Navy. He also reveals that he has the black spot, despite having no wounds. The Doctor concludes that the Siren is coming for the sick as well as the wounded.

Avery and the Doctor head to the TARDIS. Once there, the Doctor begins to try explaining the function of his console beginning with navigation, only to be suprised that Avery has quickly gotten the hang of it. Suddenly, the TARDIS begins to dematerialise. Not knowing where it's going, the pair leave only to see the TARDIS vanish. The Boatswain and Mulligan (two remaining crew) plan to leave the ship, revealing to Toby that his father is a pirate. Still loyal to his father, Toby grabs a sword and cuts Boatswain, as the Mulligan leaves. Mulligan, Avery and the Doctor all run into each other, and Mulligan is chased into a small room, where he accidentally burns himself. The Doctor hears the Siren's song and sees a glow from under the door. They enter the room, but there is no water; she doesn't just use water as a portal, but any reflective surfaces. They run back to Amy, Rory and Toby, and they realise that the only option is to sit and wait.

As everyone sleeps, Amy sees the Eye Patch Lady looking at them through a hatch in the door; the hatch quickly disappears. As she goes to tell the Doctor, a storm begins, and all head up to the deck to lift the sail. A crown Avery had been unable to throw away falls out of his coat and the Siren emerges, taking Toby, but the Doctor throws the crown overboard before she can take Rory. However, Rory is knocked overboard and begins to drown; knowing he will die anyway, the Doctor allows the Siren to come and take Rory. The remaining three prick their fingers and allow themselves to be taken.

They touch the Siren's hand and suddenly find themsleves in a high-tech space ship that is taking up the same space as the Fancy. The Doctor, Amy, and Avery walk through the ship to find that all of the crew had died long ago from an earth diesase.

The Doctor leads them further into the ship, where they find sick bay. In the sick bay are all the crew members, Toby and Rory as well as the TARDIS. Amy attempts to unhook Rory from the machine he's hooked up to, but the Siren appears and hisses her away. The Doctor explains that the Siren is not a demon, but rather, a virtual doctor who takes the appearance of the species she treats. Amy once agian tries to help Rory, but the Siren doesn't allow her near him. Crying over the safety of her husband, Amy complains about the Siren not leting Rory's wife take care of him. The Doctor then realises that the Siren will not let anyone help her, prompting him to have Amy show her ring to her to prove that they're "connected". The Siren produces a glowing yellow arch on her hand and the Doctor explains that its a contract of consent that Amy will take responsiblity for Rory. Amy "signs" the contract.

However, upon unplugging Rory from life support, the Doctor realises that if Rory is disconnected, he will drown. However, Rory is sure that Amy will save him and he begins to inform her how to perform CPR. In the meantime, Avery tries to make sense of the life support machine Toby is hooked up to as the Doctor explains that if he's taken off life support, he'll die of his fever. Avery decides to captain the vessel, with the Doctor wondering if he can handle such advanced technology. Avery makes a similar remark as to when they were in the TARDIS when he commented that "a compass is a compass", assuring the Doctor that he can. Amy and the Doctor disconnect Rory from life support and pull him into the TARDIS as Amy begins CPR to revive him. Though it seems unsucessful, Rory does recover after a minute, sharing a loving hug with Amy.

Back on the ship, Avery takes the captain's seat with Toby taking co-pilot and the crew behind them. They set off on a journey to see Sirius up close.

In the TARDIS, Amy and Rory says good-night to the Doctor, who seems to be worries about Amy. The Doctor says that he always worries about her, prompting Amy to remember his death. Amy and Rory head off to bed while the Doctor looks at his monitor, one agian viewing Amy's pregnancy going between positive and negative.

PLOT: Three months after Amy shot at the little girl, she is chased down in the middle of the Valley of the Gods in Utah. She has strange pen markings all over her skin. Eventually, she is cornered between two SUVs and a cliff face. Canton Delaware advises her to surrender, but eventually shoots her. Her body is brought before the Doctor, who is being kept prisoner at Area 51 in chains and a straitjacket.

River Song, also covered in markings, is caught in New York, between the unfinished edge of a skyscraper and Canton's FBI unit. She decides to jump instead of being arrested. Finally, Rory -- also covered in markings -- is shot on a dam. He is also taken to the Doctor, who is now having a wall built around him -- blocks of Dwarf Star Alloy that seal together perfectly to make one solid box. It is soundproof and impregnable -- the perfect prison. As it is finished, Canton steps inside and seals the door from the inside.

Once the door is closed, the pretence is dropped and the Doctor easily frees himself. Amy and Rory free themselves from the body bags, and Canton takes on a much friendlier tone with the three. After saving River from the fall by landing the TARDIS on the side of the building and opening the doors into the swimming pool, the three begin to clean themselves of markings, which are actually tally charts of how many aliens they had seen in the three months. The aliens have been found to be everywhere, all across the world. It is not an invasion --- they've been here all along. In private, Amy tells the Doctor she is not actually pregnant - she made a mistake.

The Doctor implants each occupant of the TARDIS with a nanorecorder. It flashes red when a message has been left, and after Canton casually adjusts the Doctor's bowtie, the Doctor points out to him that his is already flashing. The message begins "How the hell did it get in here?!", and when Canton turns around, sure enough, there is an alien standing in the TARDIS behind him. But it is not a real alien; the Doctor has extrapolated the image of the alien from Amy's phone and turned it into a hologram, which is now being projected behind Canton. Even though it is only an image, it is still impossible to remember it once you are no longer looking directly at it. The message also contains the Doctor's voice, telling Canton to turn around and straighten the Doctor's bow tie after he stops looking at the hologram. Like a post-hypnotic suggestion, it was the last thing in Canton's head when he looked away, so he did that. Even the information would eventually disappear.

Canton and Amy investigate a children's home, where the girl in the astronaut suit may have been taken from. The only person in the building believes that it is 1967, not 1969, and he is delirious. Amy begins to explore, when a room door locks itself. She notices her hand is flashing - the message she left herself advises her to leave, as do markings on the wall. She realises that she has begun to tally her arms again, and she is covered in marks. She looks up - the ceiling is completely covered with a group of sleeping Silence.

She runs out of the room, quickly forgetting her encounter. Down the hallway, she sees a mysterious woman with an eye patch looking out from a slot hole in a metal door. She goes to investigate, but finds the room empty -- and the slot hole on the door gone. Inside she finds a photo of herself with the girl as a baby. Suddenly the girl in the astronaut suit walks into the room and begs Amy to help her. Before she can do anything, however, a pair of Silence enter the room and trap her.
Amy is confronted by the girl and the Silence.

Canton hears Amy's screams and an alien suddenly appears in front of him. Canton activates his nanorecorder, then interrogates the alien. After it haughtily states that as the rulers of the planet, its people do not need to carry weapons, Canton pulls out his gun and shoots the alien, badly wounding it.

The Doctor, meanwhile, has been busy -- he is apprehended at NASA after breaking into the Command Module, Columbia, atop the Saturn V rocket, and rearranging some of the electronics to add one of his own devices into the compter. After President Richard Nixon arrives with Rory and River Song, disguised as office workers, and orders the Doctor's release, he receives a call from Canton, asking for help.

Amy has gone missing, and her nanorecorder left on the floor of the girl's room. It has been switched from recording to live broadcast -- Amy's current words can be heard. They also find the girl's astronaut suit which now lies empty on the floor, with a hole ripped in it from the girl escaping. The Doctor confronts the wounded alien and asks who and what it is. The alien reveals its species name to be "the Silence", and warns the Doctor that "silence will fall" - echoing the warnings of Prisoner Zero.

While Rory, River and the Doctor set about finding Amy, Canton returns to the cell at Area 51 with the Silent in tow, and talks with it. The alien gloats that the Silence have ruled the world since the Stone Age. It tells him that it was a mistake to bandage him and, when asked what the Silence would do in the Humans' place, responds "you should kill us on sight". Canton reveals that he recorded this on Amy's video phone - despite not understanding what a "video phone" is - and leaves. As Canton has been gone several days, the soldiers are naturally curious -- they calm down after President Nixon puts in another appearance.

Elsewhere, in the Florida warehouse the found the girl in, River and the Doctor begin to dissect the astronaut suit. They find it is, in fact, a perfect life support machine -- this is how the girl could survive Amy shooting her. It is comprised of at least 20 different types of alien tech, and the occupant would not even have to eat to survive while wearing it. River wonders if the suit could move without an occupant, remembering that the girl said an astronaunt was coming to eat her. She comes to the realization that is exactly what happened; the suit "swallowed" her.

Meanwhile, Amy wakes up and finds herself tied to some framework and surrounded by the Silence in their console room. The Silence inform her that she has been there for several days and that she will help "bring the silence."

The launch of Apollo 11 goes off without a hitch, and the Doctor tracks the signal from Amy's nanorecorder to the room where she is being held. He brings an old television with him, and River brings her gun - she claims she could take down at least seven should they choose to attack. The Doctor doesn't seem to mind, unusually. He sets up the television in time for the live broadcast of the famous "One small step" speech, but hacks into the signal just as Neil Armstrong's foot touches the lunar surface. As it does, the image turns to Canton's video of the Silent saying "You should kill us all on sight" -- in short, sealing the fate of all the Silence on the planet, since every human will see it at some point in their lives, and being quite possibly the most famous TV broadcast in history. The post-hypnotic suggestion of the Silent's appearance will command every human who ever sees the footage to kill the Silence on sight, meaning that they are doomed.

Enraged the Doctor's victory, Silence try to attack the Doctor, prompting River to shoot all the aliens present, while the Doctor and Rory free Amy. They withdraw to the TARDIS, and Canton is delivered to the Oval Office, where Nixon asks the Doctor if he will be remembered since Canton told him about the Doctor being from the future. The Doctor replies by telling him "They'll never forget you," without going into detail. As the TARDIS disappears, Canton asks the President if he can rejoin the FBI, who had fired him because he wishes to be married. Nixon realises that, since he is asking the President for help, Canton's girlfriend must be "black", and he states he is quite liberal, and that he's sure he can help Canton. Canton corrects the President -- "she" is actually a "he". Nixon stops talking, but is visibly disturbed.

River Song is delivered back to jail, where the Doctor offers River the chance to stay out of jail and travel with him, but River declines, telling him that she made a promise to stay locked up. The Doctor wonders who made her promise that and as usual, River tells him to wait for it to happen in his future. The Doctor prepares to leave, but River stops him, saying he's forgotten something. As the Doctor asks her what he forgot, River pulls him into a kiss. The Doctor breaks off, shaken and not knowing how to react. River wonders if he has kissed her before as the Doctor casually lies they have and bolts into the TARDIS, leaving. River realizes that because this is their first kiss from the Doctor's perspective, that from her perspective, she will never kiss him again.

While the Doctor and Amy talk, Rory spies on their conversation using Amy's nanorecorder. Amy had not told the Doctor or Rory she thought she was pregnant since she is worried that the TARDIS may have had an effect on the child, giving it abnormalities such as multiple heads or something worse. Amy knows Rory is spying on them and tells him to come over to the console, chidding Rory for eavesdropping and reassures him that he is safe. The Doctor prepares to set the TARDIS on a course for a new adventure as he has the TARDIS scan Amy for pregnancy -- it filckers between a postive and a negative reading. Doctor Who fans know him as Canton Everett Delaware III but in real life he is known as Mark Sheppard who was born May 30 1964 in London, England and currently resides in LA with his wife and two sons. In Doctor Who his character has an American accent even though he is in fact British...lol I know, your probably saying he looks really familiar?! Well, your right! But we will get back to where you have seen him before soon enough.

Canton Everett Delaware III (older version)

Now remember in the beginning of the first episode The Impossible Astronaut, after the whole wtf moment when we see the Doctor murdered. We are introduced to the gentleman seen above. Well here is something you may not know. The older version of Canton Everett Delaware III(seriously, did his parents not like the poor kid?? .lol) is portrayed by actor William Morgan Sheppard, Mark Sheppard's actual father in real life! How nice it must have been for Mark Sheppard to work with his father on the same show.

So in Season 6, Mark Sheppard returns as Crowley. However he is no puny crossroads demon anymore since Lucifer was sent back to his cage by the Winchesters, but he is in fact now the King of Hell. Crowley ends up enlisting the Winchesters (against their will) in helping him with his quest to find purgatory, but when Sam and Dean realizes that Crowley really doesn't have what he was holding over their heads, Castiel then destroys him. Now when that happened we were very sad to see Crowley gone! Mark Sheppard's portrayal is brilliant!!

After we were all sad about seeing the end of Crowley, we find out in the episode "Mommy Dearest" that Crowley is in fact still alive and it seems that he is working for the angel Castiel!! Here is a clip for the upcoming episode "The Man Who Would Be King"

Now in other things Mark has appeared in, this is one of my favorite movies "In The Name Of The Father" which was based on the true life story of the Guildford Four, four people falsely convicted of the IRA's Guildford pub bombings which killed four off-duty British soldiers and a civilian. Mark Sheppard played Paddy Armstrong.

Subtitled Miracle Day, the 10-episode adventure moves to the show's new U.S. home, Starz.

When last seen in the summer of 2009 the Torchwood unit was decimated and its U.K. hub destroyed as the heroes successfully saved Earth's children from fearsome aliens and cowardly humans. This year Jack and his longtime colleague Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) team up with CIA agents Rex Matheson (ER's Mekhi Phifer) and Esther Drummond (All My Children vet Alexa Havins) to find out why nobody on the planet is dying. "People still age, they still get sick, they still have accidents, but they live on," says series creator Russell T. Davies. That includes an "executed" pedophile and child murderer named Oswald, played by Bill Pullman, who has a mysterious connection to the crisis.

Despite the action drama series' new U.S. location and its new network, it's still Torchwood, Barrowman promises: "The exciting writing, the darkness, the humor and the sexuality remain."

PLOT: In the 16th century, a man bursts into a room, questioning the lady present as to the Doctor’s whereabouts. She asks “Doctor Who?” A sneeze is audible from beneath her skirt and the man lifts it with his sword to find the Doctor hiding naked underneath.

In 2011, Amy Pond and Rory Williams are in their kitchen. Amy reads an account of how the Doctor was imprisoned in the Tower of London without trial on the personal request of the king. Rory is not certain that it is the Doctor until Amy reads that he was seen flying from the tower two days later on a sphere. She reads of how the Doctor took part in a World War II breakout from a POW camp.

Amy ponders whether he is being deliberately ridiculous in order to gain their attention. Rory is distracted and so doesn’t see the Doctor waving at the camera in a scene from a Laurel & Hardy film. Amy answers the door and is handed her post. She finds a letter in a TARDIS blue envelope. It gives her a map reference, a time and a date. In Stormcage Containment Facility, River Song receives an identical letter. The prison goes on alert after a guard warns that she is packing.

Rory and Amy arrive in Utah where they are greeted by the Doctor. River Song arrives shortly after. In a café, the Doctor and River compare diaries. They have both “done” Easter Island and met Jim the Fish. The Doctor says they're going to space in 1969.

They move to sit by a body of water, there they dine and the Doctor tries wine again, immediately disliking it. The Doctor mentions he's 1,103 years old; meaning that he's about 200 years older than the last time Amy and Rory saw him. Amy sees a mysterious figure but, as she turns away, she forgets. Behind them Canton Everett Delaware III pulls up in his car, and from the water an astronaut rises wearing an Apollo 11 style space suit.

The Doctor tells them not to interfere and moves to face the astronaut. Out of earshot of the others, he announces that he knows who is within. The astronaut shoots him, and fires again before regeneration can complete and save his life. The astronaut then retreats into the water, unfazed by River Song’s bullets hitting it.

Added by Skittles the hogCanton approaches and hands the grieving trio a canister of gasoline. They orchestrate a Viking-style funeral by burning the Doctor’s body aboard a boat to prevent his body being studied. Canton shows them that he too has an envelope: number four. Rory and Amy have three and River has two. They return to the café and find letter number one on a table. They ask the owner who was seated there and he replies “some guy”. They turn and the Doctor emerges from a side door.

They come to realise that this is a younger version of the Doctor, by some two-hundred years. They tell him that they have been hired and it involves 1969 and Canton Delaware III.

They return to the TARDIS and River tells Rory and Amy that they cannot tell the Doctor of his coming death. They use the TARDIS to travel back to 1969, and land in the Oval Office after switching the TARDIS to a setting in which it is invisible and silent. The Doctor emerges alone and listens to Richard Nixon and a young Canton as they discuss the president being called by a mysterious source. The Doctor makes notes as a recording of one call is played. The recording mentions “Jefferson Adams Hamilton”.

Canton and Nixon become aware of his presence and security is called. They quickly overwhelm the Doctor and the TARDIS becomes visible. The Doctor proposes to sort out the mysterious calls and pretends to be an undercover agent sent from Scotland Yard. Canton agrees, telling the Doctor he has five minutes to solve the mystery.

Again Amy sees the mysterious creature, more clearly now as it stands just a few feet from her. Rory blocks her vision and she again forgets what she has seen. She feels ill and asks to go the toilet. Canton allows her to do so. She enters to find one of the Silence. She remembers the events she forgot. Joy emerges from one of the cubicles and sees the Silence. She looks away and forgets, looks again and repeats the same words. Joy looks a third time and the Silence kills her with electricity. The Silence instructs Amy to “tell the Doctor what he must know, and what he must never know”. Amy then exits and immediately forgets. She returns to the Oval Office.

Added by Skittles the hogThe Doctor finds the only place the calls can be coming from. Another call from the mysterious caller is answered by Nixon. The Doctor and his companions leave with Canton in the TARDIS. The Doctor tells the others that Jefferson, Adams and Hamilton are three of America’s founding fathers and the only place with the three street names on one junction is an area five miles from Cape Kennedy Space Center.

Rory explains to a stunned Canton that the TARDIS is bigger on the inside. They search a building at the junction, unaware of the astronaut’s presence. Amy and River both discuss neutralising the astronaut to prevent him from killing the Doctor. However, River tells Amy that it doesn’t work that way.

River discovers a tube leading down through a drain. River goes down, accompanied by Rory. River opens a locked room and enters a large cavern. In the centre sits a structure akin to a TARDIS console. They set off an alarm and Rory checks if anything is coming. He sees many of the Silence but forgets as soon as he turns to warn River. River discovers that the tunnels cover the Earth and have been around for hundreds of years. Electricity crackles behind Rory and something approaches him.

Meanwhile Canton and Amy discuss the former agent's FBI career. He was kicked out for “attitude problems” as he wanted to marry. Amy hears the astronaut calling and runs to the Doctor. They run to Canton’s call and find him unconscious. Amy tells the Doctor that she is pregnant. They turn to see the astronaut, who lifts its faceplate. It’s the little girl. In order to prevent the Doctor's death, Amy picks up Canton's gun and fires at the girl.

PLOT: The second Amy explains that she stepped into the "exterior" TARDIS, which is now slightly in the future, and it sent her into the "interior" TARDIS (her immediate past). The Doctor realises and informs everyone that this timeline must be maintained. Present-time Amy gets her instructions and enters the inner police box, but not before flirting with her future self.

A second Amy appears through the regular TARDIS door again, with a second Rory in tow. They tell The Doctor that he is about to tell them to enter the box. The Doctor obliges, but tells the newest two to stay where they are, to stave off confusion and complication.

The Doctor realises he must set off a controlled Temporal Implosion to reset the TARDIS, but critically, he does not know which lever to pull. He states that he's "about to find out", and a second Doctor appears in the doorway, announcing "the wibbly lever!". The (current) Doctor pulls the wibbly lever (the Door Release lever), and runs into the dematerialising inner TARDIS. Everything returns to normal, and The Doctor asks Amy to put some trousers on.

PLOT: Amy is trying to get the Doctor's attention while he fixes the TARDIS. She fails, but soon discovers that Rory is helping The Doctor by installing power couplers. However, Amy thinks that he is helping to fly the TARDIS. Rory and Amy soon start a small argument about Amy cheating on her driving test by wearing a skirt; then, the lights go out. The Doctor asks Rory if he dropped a power coupler, which he apologizes for doing so. Amy also apologizes.

Confused, the Doctor asks why. Amy then points out that Rory was looking up her skirt through the TARDIS' glass floor. The Doctor then turns on the emergency materialization, which will land the TARDIS in the nearest safe place. The lights come on, but reveal that the TARDIS has materialized inside itself. As a test, the Doctor then walks through the inside TARDIS doors, stepping out of the other doors. Rory states how cool it is. The Doctor then tells him and Amy that they are stuck and that nothing can ever enter or exit the TARDIS again. Despite this, another Amy walks through the TARDIS doors...

PLOT: A spaceship begins to plunge towards an unknown planet below. A distress call has been sent from the honeymoon suite of the ship. Amy and Rory, honeymooning on-board, rush to the deck of the spaceship to see if they can help. As they get closer to the planet, the crew of the ship notice a small object approaching the ship. As the TARDIS comes into view, the message "Come Along Pond" is beamed onto the ship.

Kazran Sardick a wealthy, heartless man, runs a loansharking business and uses the frozen bodies of family members as security. A family is pleading with him to allow one of these bodies to be thawed out to enjoy Christmas. He rejects this, declaring that he views Christmas as merely an excuse to get "something for nothing". Kazran also controls the cloud bank over the planet. It is in this water-and-ice-based cloud cover that the ship is caught. The Doctor enters Kazran Sardick's house via chimney. The Doctor tries to persuade Kazran to open the skies by using his isomorphic controls. Kazran turns him down, saying he doesn't care if they live or die. Angrily, the young son throws a chunk of coal at Sardick's head. Sardick goes to strike the boy, but doesn't. He orders the Doctor and the family thrown out. The Doctor then talks to Amy and sees some small Fog Fish around a lamp. The unnaturally high proportion of water in the cloud bank, along with a slight electrical charge, allows fish to swim amongst the fog.

Kazran is asleep, dreaming of when he was twelve, making a video project of the sky fish. Kazran wakes to find that his video is being projected onto a wall; in the video Kazran's father comes in and strikes him as he has disobeyed him by researching the fish. The Doctor comes from behind adult Kazran and asks if he ever saw the fish, (at this point young Kazran is crying on the video). Kazran says that was the day when he first began to realise that there was no one that would ever help him and that he was on his own in the world. The Doctor says he can change the past.

Added by Skittles the hogKazran laughs this off as impossible the Doctor leaves the room promising Kazran that he will be back – "way back." The sound of the TARDIS is heard and young Kazran on the video looks around; the Doctor appears on the video. The Doctor jumps around the room explaining that he is Kazran's new babysitter. Adult Kazran protests to himself that this didn't happen, but suddenly remembers that it did.

Young Kazran and the Doctor later move into the wardrobe, holding some string which is attached to the Sonic Screwdriver, which they are using as bait for a fish (young Kazran is the only boy in his class without a 'fish' story). A few minutes later, the Doctor opens the door to see a small fish. He walks out, leaving Kazran in the wardrobe. Adult Kazran, still watching the video, remembers what happened and says "Don't go out!". The Doctor looks at the fish and figures out how they survive in fog, when a shark flies in, swallows the fish, and half of the Sonic Screwdriver. The shark is suffocating, as being stunned has prevented it from going back to the clouds for too long - the low fog has dissipated, and it cannot return by itself. The Doctor attempts to console a saddened Kazran - there is little he can do, as half the sonic screwdriver is still inside the shark. He says he could get the shark into the sky, but she'd never survive the trip without a life support. To his surprise, Kazran offers an ice box.

Kazran leads the Doctor to a vault filled with ice boxes, each box containing a person. He plays a video message from one of the frozen people: Abigail Pettigrew. In the video, Abigail expresses her gratitude towards Elliot Sardick, and her love of the fish. Kazran explains that the people are security; family members of those who have borrowed money from Elliot, and says they can borrow a box for the night, unlocking Abigail's. The Doctor's half of the screwdriver begins to beep, and he says it's trying to repair itself. A second beep is heard, and the pair realise that the shark is in the vault. Following a short chase, singing is heard; Abigail has woken up and is singing to the shark, calming it. The Doctor explains that her voice resonates with and aligns the fog crystals, the same way Sardick's machine does. The Doctor places the shark inside the box, and the trio visit the skies. In the present day, old Kazran turns to view a new portrait one the wall – of Abigail.

The Doctor releases the shark, and notices a dial set at number 8. He asks Abigail how it relates to her, and she responds by asking if he is "one of [her] doctors". Before she can explain, the Doctor becomes distracted. Before sending Abigail back into the ice, Kazran tells Abigail that the Doctor promises to come every Christmas Eve, and the Doctor feels obliged to. Every time he visits, he takes the pair to new and distant places (including a sleigh ride with the previously rescued shark and a visit to the pyramids). On the sixth Christmas, Abigail requests they visit her family, and watches their preparations for Christmas through the window, crying. When Kazran asks why, she only says that she's watching the life she can never have. The family invite the trio in for Christmas dinner a day early, and Abigail's sister warns her that Kazran will turn out just like his father. Meanwhile, old Kazran reflects on his newfound memories.

Added by Skittles the hogThe following Christmas, the group are at a 20th century Hollywood party. Kazran finds Abigail by a pool, and sees that she is crying. She says she will tell him the truth. A few minutes later, the Doctor finds the pair kissing passionately, and tells them that they need to go (he has accidentally got engaged to Marylin Monroe). They ignore him and he leaves. Soon after they break apart, and are seen to be crying. Kazran asks Abigail what they can do, to which Abigail replies "Nothing can be done". The pair later bid a silent and emotional goodbye in the vault. When the Doctor tells Kazran he'll come back next year, Kazran says that he's outgrown Christmas and that times have changed. The Doctor only replies with "Not as much as I'd've liked", and gives Kazran his half a screwdriver in case Kazran ever needs him; Kazran assures him he won't. Meanwhile, Abigail's dial has turned to one.

A few Christmas Eves later, Elliot Sardick is celebrating with his son, as his machine is complete, and he insists that the planet is theirs. Confused, Kazran runs up to his room and takes the screwdriver out of his desk. He handles it hesitantly, and sees the Doctor at his window. Angrily, he shuts the curtains on him.

Added by Skittles the hogBack in the present day, old Kazran argues with the president, saying he won't open the skies. Suddenly, a hologram of Amy appears. She summons a hologram of the people on the ship, who are singing for their lives. Amy insists that the Doctor was only trying to change Kazran into a kinder man, but he insists people can't be 'rewritten'. He destroys the holograms and stares at Abigail. He then explains to Amy that Abigail was mortally ill when she went into the ice, and the dial showed how many days she had left to live. If he let her out, she would only have one day to live. Still determined, Amy sends a hologram of Kazran up to the crashing ship to see the disaster. The captain explains that the Doctor told the passengers to sing in hope of stabilising the ship. The crew know it won't work but allow them to carry on to give them hope. When asked again to save the ship, Kazran says everybody has to die, and this night was no better than any other. Amy reveals that the Doctor has been listening, and he returns Kazran's consciousness to his body in the vault, and apologises.

The Doctor now says that he will show Kazran the future, but Kazran only says that he'll dies "cold, alone and afraid as we all do", and that he doesn't care about the people on the ship. He goads the Doctor to show him the future, and the Docto reveals that he is doing so: the young Kazran is standing in front of the TARDIS. When the Doctor asks if he wants to turn out like this, the boy mistakes his older self for his abusive father. Old Kazran goes to strike his younger self, but a rush of memories of his father and Abigail cause him to break down and embrace his younger self. He then goes to save the ship.

Added by Skittles the hogThe ship's captain reveals they have five minutes, and the Doctor reveals that all is well. He goes to see how Kazran is doing, and discovers that the machine no longer responds to his brainwaves; he has changed too much. The Doctor thinks all is lost, when old Kazran gives him the half screwdriver. The Doctor realises he can transmit a signal from one half to the other half of the screwdriver, but needs to use it to transmit something else. He realises that he'll have to transmit something that they know works into the cloud belt: they need Abigail to sing, as her voice resonates perfectly with the fog crystals, which could calm the sky.

Kazran reluctantly lets Abigail out, and she says she would have chosen Christmas Day for her final day with her beloved. She remarks that he's waited too long, and willingly offers her services, saying that they've had too many Christmas Eves, and it's time for Christmas Day. She sings into the screwdriver, "unlocking" the clouds and causing it to snow. The ship's crew realise that they can land, and Rory and Amy embrace. Young Kazran and the Doctor depart, as old Kazran and Abigail wave goodbye.

Amy and Rory meet up with the Doctor, asking for more honeymoon ideas. Amy asks where Abigail and Kazran have gone for their last day together: they are revealed to be in the shark-drawn sleigh, flying across the sky once more.

I am sure all you whovians out there already know and should be watching the marathon of Doctor Who on BBC America!! If your not, what on earth are you all waiting for??!! Plop your butt down in front of your telly and enter the world of who!!! Since last night at 5pm EST it has been running and during the breaks they show little clips or specials and what not. Elisabeth Sladen touched many peoples lives, young and old, during her career as her portrayal as the plucky young journalist, Sarah Jane Smith, in Doctor Who. I was not fortunate to have met her personally, however my father and uncle did at a convention years ago in Phila, PA. My Uncle has said she was one of his favorites! When I broke the news to my children, they were very upset by the news as they have grown to know her, not only from some of the older episodes I have shown them but also from their own experiences watching her in the new series of Doctor Who alongside David Tennant, and in her own spin off series The Sarah Jane Adventures!!
